I understand you are all volunteers, giving up your own time to devote yourself to this chessed.You can’t imagine what this money means to me. Prior to receiving this, my Pseg was shut off and I was beside myself. I now have funds to pay the payment plan I worked out with them, pay back a friend who loaned me money and be able to breathe a little easier until my next paycheck.

To the Incredible Baalei Chesed of Avigdor’s Helping Hands,
Less than two months ago we walked our son Yosef to the chuppah. How can one describe the feelings of such a moment? My heart was overflowing with gratitude and happiness. Thank you Hashem שהחינו וקימנו והגיענו לזמן הזה. Thank you Hashem for the privilege and the pleasure of raising a child and seeing him standing with his new wife beside him, headed to a promising life in which they will בעזרת השם build their own בית נאמן בישראל.
Let me share another feeling with you. It is the feeling of waking up on the day of the chasuna and knowing that there is enough money in the bank account to pay for the simcha. Thank you dear and generous volunteers of AHH for seeing to that. You cannot imagine the relief and support that your kindness and generosity have afforded us.
A few weeks before his chasuna, ________ flew to ________ and went to the kever of his mother z”l. It is a sacred מנהג ישראל to go to the kever and invite one’s parent to their חתונה. No doubt, ________’s mother accepted the invitation and participated in the simcha. להבדיל בין חיים לחיים, there is no doubt that all of you hard-working and indefatigable members of AHH received our invitation and participated in our simcha.
The three יתומים we raised are now ברוך השם all married. And AHH was there at all 3 of their chasunos!!! With dignity, with care, with sensitivity, and with tremendous generosity. You are the true heroes of כלל ישראל who take care of אלמנות and יתומים with devotion, dedication, and selflessness! How can we ever thank you?
May הקב”ה pay you כפל כפלים with good health and נחת from your own children and grandchildren. May you be zocheh to marry them all off בשעה טובה ומוצלחת with שפע ברכה and much הצלחה.
